Katie Leist
My name is Katie Leist, I am majoring in Communication with an emphasis in public relations and working towards a minor in business administration. I will graduate this May and intend on pursuing a career in public relations. I love writing and the creativity that it brings. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors and getting lost in the pages of a good book.
As publishing editor of the Marian University student newspaper it is my goal to provide Marian students with campus news, as well as updates and feature stories concerning world and local events. In addition to news stories, articles on pop culture, sports, healthy living and more can be found in each issue of the newspaper. I believe that it is imperative that Marian students have the opportunity to voice their opinions, explore their writing and news reporting skills and benefit from the simplicity of a student newspaper.
I want to invite all of you to explore The Sabre Online, to become involved in this publication if you so desire and to contact me with any questions, comments and suggestions that you may have. I am extremely excited to edit The Sabre Online this semester and provide the Marian community with a source for information, opinions, entertainment and more.

Monica Stoffel
My name is Monica Stoffel; I am currently a Marian senior from Slinger, Wisconsin majoring in communication with a public relations emphasis. After graduation I hope to find a job in a public relations or marketing firm, or become an event planner. I am currently a member of the Marian Communication Association, which has provided me with several unique experiences thus far. Aside from school, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, watching movies, reading fashion magazines, and traveling to Florida to relax in the warm weather.
I have been a server at a country club for the past four years, where I continuously strive to provide excellent customer service. While spending this past summer interning at the West Bend Clinic in their marketing department, I discovered my interest in marketing and event planning. I was honored to be part of their team just as I am honored to be part of The Sabre Online. I strongly encourage everyone to get involved by providing your input and feedback to the Sabre because we care about what you think!
